Terms for using ClearTerms.
Effective 1 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-01 · Supervised pilot
Who operates ClearTerms
ClearTerms is operated by Almareem Technologies, at Noble Center. Your contact is Johnson Mmbaga, [email protected]. These terms govern your use of our supervised pilot website, browser extension and document review service.
What the service provides
ClearTerms helps you read subscription terms, privacy policies, employment contracts and rental agreements through document extraction, precise passages, explanations, reviewed findings and annotated downloads. Availability varies by format, language and jurisdiction. The service is an aid to understanding; it is not a substitute for advice tailored to your circumstances by a qualified professional.
Your account and agreement
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into an agreement to create an account. Provide accurate information, verify your email and keep your sign-in methods and recovery codes secure. You agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy before creating an account. Product-update emails are optional and are not a condition of access.
Documents you submit
You retain ownership of your documents. You give us a limited permission to store, process and show the material as necessary to provide the review you request. Submit only material you are authorised to share. Check that the document is complete and that location, language and other context are accurate. Avoid unnecessary personal information about other people.
Review scope and limitations
A released pilot report requires an authorised human decision tied to that report version. That approval is not a guarantee of completeness, a representation that all applicable law has been considered, or a recommendation to sign. Unmarked text is not certified safe. The 20-country research catalogue is not a list of approved legal coverage. Missing evidence, incomplete material and unresolved legal scope must remain visible.
Development and live modes
A development environment is explicitly labelled. Its prepared examples are fictional; extraction of another document does not imply live analysis. Live processing requires separately configured providers and approved operating arrangements. Do not submit real confidential material to a development environment. An unavailable provider or unreadable upload must be treated as a failure or limitation, not a successful review.
Your decisions and responsibilities
You remain responsible for whether to accept, sign, negotiate, cancel or rely on an agreement. ClearTerms does not take those actions for you and does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Seek qualified advice for deadlines, disputes, significant financial commitments or uncertainty about your rights.
Acceptable use
Do not upload malicious code, unlawfully obtain or share documents, access another person's account, impersonate a reviewer, interfere with the service, or attempt to bypass ownership, review or security controls. We may limit or suspend access to protect users, investigate misuse or comply with lawful requirements.
Changes, corrections and availability
You can report a problem with a finding from its report. Corrections are versioned and require a fresh release decision. Service interruptions and changes may occur during the pilot. Keep your own copies of important documents; ClearTerms is not a permanent archive. We will describe material policy changes and request renewed acceptance where appropriate.
Fees and ending use
No live billing is enabled in this pilot. Any future paid service requires separately presented pricing and terms. You can stop using the service, request deletion of a case from its review page and contact us to close your account. Necessary records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy.
Responsibility and disputes
We will use reasonable care in operating the service. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Contact us first so that we can investigate a concern. Applicable mandatory law and your right to approach a competent regulator or court remain unaffected; these terms do not impose mandatory arbitration.
Contact and version
Questions, complaints, corrections and account requests can be sent to [email protected]. This is the supervised-pilot version dated 1 October 2026. Public launch, approved legal coverage and professional service arrangements require separate review.
